2 Chainz is trying on some expensive pieces of eyewear on GQ‘s series, Most Expensivest S—.
The “Watch Out” rapper met up with Vintage Frames founder Corey Shapiro to try on some rare sunglasses inclduing a 23-carot gold vintage Gucci pair.
“I’m so excited about this right here,” said 2 Chainz as Shapiro showed him the caseload, or “rows on rows on rows” of sunglasses. “This really means a lot to me.”
2 Chainz shared that he’s probably bought a “couple of hundred” shades from the dealer. This time around, the Atlanta rapper looked at pairs worn by a number of rappers and had a few words to say about it too. First up was a pair made famous by Vanilla Ice.
“I never thought I’d wear anything Vanilla Ice had,” he said.
As for Tupac’s pair, 2 Chainz was surprised.
“Aw s—, really?” he questioned.
Afterwards he tried on tricked out pairs like a Cazal 951 worn by MC Hammer and the main event, a $50,000 pair that was made famous by Run DMC.
But when 2 Chainz isn’t trying on expensive sunglasses, he’s been making some major boss moves. He’s partnering with Hookah Hideaway owner Michael Dillard to open a restaurant in Atlanta. The new digs, Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, will serve as a club and lounge. Check out the video of 2 Chainz trying on the top dollar sunglasses above and see a preview of his restaurant below.
