The TLC member posted a photo of herself and Cannon looking mighty cozy after the two were caught being intimate at a festival in New York City. However, some fans are speculating that it’s just promotion for Cannon’s single, “If I Was Your Man” since Chilli hash-tagged the track in her caption.
But an E! Online insider is saying otherwise.
“Nick loves how chill Chilli is,” said the unnamed source. “Chilli is very family oriented and into God. She is also a very spiritual person with a kind soul. She is not drama and that’s important for him.”
Another source told the gossip site that, “They are enjoying getting to know each other and Chilli seems very happy.”
The chatter started in July, when Cannon was spotted adoringly watching TLC’s headlining concert performance at WDKX’s Summerfest Concert in Rochester, N.Y. An “insider” told the New York Daily News that Cannon and Chilli were kissing and hugging before and after their performance.
Cannon’s been fairly cool about his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, getting remarried, and now we’re wondering if this might be why. The two were together for six years and divorced last year. And when news hit that Carey was engaged to billionaire businessman James Packer, Cannon only had positive things to say about the two.
“To see her happy is outstanding. I love it!” he said in an interview on The Howard Stern Show. “I salute them. I respect it. I wish all my exes [found] billionaires!”
As for his relationship with Chilli, the America’s Got Talent host hasn’t confirmed or denied it just yet.
“Where I am at in my life you can’t just play with a woman like that,” he said during an interview on Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” earlier this month. “You have to be serious…I don’t want to mess with nothing I can’t stand firm and be a committed man in.”
