Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel Talk 50 Cent Beef, GS9, Violating His Rights

Bobby Shmurda is in a serious battle for his freedom. The Brooklyn rhymer is still in jail awaiting trial after having been denied bail several times. In a recent interview with ThisIs50, he, along with fellow jailed GS9 member, Rowdy Rebel, update fans on their current situation.

The “Hot Boy” rapper and his GS9 crew have been locked up for nearly two years on a slew of charges; including a conspiracy to commit murder and several gun charges. Last year, Shmurda presented a $2 million bond package that included four real estate properties as collateral, but the judge rejected it outright.

In his interview, Shmurda revealed that he was kicked out of Rikers Island for being a high-profile inmate and was moved to Westchester County Jail in upstate New York.

As for the rumors that GS9 has a beef with 50 Cent, Shmurda denies it. “I don’t do the rap beef — that’s not my character,” he says. “So me and 50 are cool.”

Shmurda also explained why he thinks he keeps getting denied bail. “They ain’t trying to give me the deal because they know if I come home, I’ma beat this,” he said. “They got nothing on me. I’m not even supposed to still be here. I got different lawyers pertaining to my case thats saying that the bail is supposed to be dropped and these charges are supposed to be dropped.”

“The bail not even supposed to be high due to the Emory Law Book,” he added. “They just violating my constitutional rights. My civil rights that they are just flushing down the toilet for their own political reasons.”

“This s— is injustice, it’s about Black Lives Matter, it’s past everything. This s— is crazy,” he finished.

Meanwhile, Rowdy Rebel told that while he appreciates the fans’ support, he wants to make it specifically clear that GS9 is not a gang, so nobody should be shouting out their name in the streets.

“GS9 is not a gang. GS9 is a music group,” he stated. “So everybody that want to make it look like it’s a gang and s–t, they [can] have all that nonsense, that negativity activity. We don’t need none of that right now for us.”

Overall, it looks like Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel are trying to keep the peace and get ready for a major legal battle.
