If you happen to be attending a music festival somewhere in the country in 2016, the odds are very good that Chance The Rapper will make a surprise appearance. He cameoed alongside Jeremih at Pitchfork, he came out for both Flosstradamus’ and Future’s sets at Lollapalooza, and played alongside Bryson Tiller, Macklemore, J. Cole, and Miguel at Bonnaroo. The dude is everywhere!

For his latest festival surprise, Chance hit the stage Saturday at Eaux Claires Festival in Wisconsin to perform alongside the festival’s founder, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, during Francis and the Lights’ headlining set. The group busted out the song “Friends,” which features Vernon’s and Chance’s mutual friend Kanye West, before slipping into “Summer Friends” off of the Chicago rapper’s latest mixtape Coloring Book. During the performance, Francis and the Lights also debuted their new album Farewell Starlite.

This is the second headline-grabbing story for the relatively small Eaux Claires Festival in as many days. On Friday night, after a five year long wait, Bon Iver debuted their hotly anticipated album 22, A Million before the live crowd. Per the press release:

22, A Million is part love letter, part final resting place of two decades of searching for self-understanding like a religion. And the inner-resolution of maybe never finding that understanding. The album’s 10 poly-fi recordings are a collection of sacred moments, love’s torment and salvation, contexts of intense memories, signs that you can pin meaning onto or disregard as coincidence. If Bon Iver, Bon Iver built a habitat rooted in physical spaces, then 22, A Million is the letting go of that attachment to a place.

Between that revelation and cameos from performers like Chance, Eaux Claires is quickly becoming a “can’t miss” event on the overcrowded festival circuit.
