Unfortunately, for Chance’s fans, his sickness forced him to cancel his appearance at a Robin Hood charity event in New York. Instead, Joey Bada$$, Anderson .Paak and Mark Ronson took his place.
Chance isn’t letting the lung infection stop his other plans for the week. The 23-year-old rhymer tweeted that his Chance 3 mixtape will drop on Friday (May 13) as planned.
“Thank you @joeyBADASS and @AndersonPaak for filling in for me and supporting a great cause. GREAT Men. I got pneumonia but #Chance3 still,” he tweeted.
Ronson also shared some touching words towards the rhymer and wished him health. “Thank you @RobinHoodNYC for having me play tonight.@AndersonPaak smashed it. @chancetherapper, please get well soon,” read a tweet by the “Uptown Funk” producer.
It seems that it was only a matter of time before Chance’s body caught up with him. The Acid Rap creator has had a busy month.
After unveiling the new Chicago White Sox snapback, Chance was also honored with a mural alongside fellow Chicago rhymer Common in their hometown. On top of that, the 23-year-old rapper has been pushing his forthcoming project with his spiritual performance of “Blessings” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
We hope he can get back to doing what he loves soon. Get well soon Chance!
