David Banner Arrested For 'Inciting a Fight' in D.C. news

David Banner did not have a good weekend. The 42-year-old rapper was arrested for inciting a fight early Sunday morning (June 12).

According to TMZ, Banner rolled up to the Ozio Restaurant & Lounge in Washington, D.C. but the bouncer denied entry to Banner and his crew. Banner was none too happy about the situation and proceeded to throw cash and credit cards at the bouncer — seemingly to “buy” his way in.

“I got you, n—-, I got you. You a sell-out, n—-. I got money,” said Banner, according to the police report obtained by TMZ. But it wasn’t enough for security. (I guess he’s never heard “Play”?)

Unfortunately for Banner, that’s when the cops showed up. “I don’t give a f— about no police!” Banner reportedly told the officer. Afterwards, he landed in jail.

The latest news is somewhat surprising since Banner seemed to be turning over a new leaf. In an interview with The Boombox, Banner also relayed that he’s “tired” and has become a “man of peace.”

“Because I make the type of money that I make, I can talk a little s—. I’m just tired, bro. Because I’m meditative and a man of peace, I try not to say nothing and I try not to hoop and holler,’ he said. “But I’m tired, bro. You’ve got all these people behind these computer screens but our children are dying in real life.”

Back in December he also donated a recording studio to the Mississippi Boys & Girls Club. He also addressed the use of the “N word” in his latest tracks “A My.” We hope that Banner can get back to that version of himself.
