Drake and Rihanna Memorialize a Much Loved Fan Who Passed Away From Cancer news

One of Drake and Rihanna’s biggest fans passed away on Sunday, and the artists paid tribute to her in touching Instagram posts. Megan Flores, sometimes referred to as OVO Megan, has long been known as a huge fan of Drake’s. He visited her in the hospital back in March after being connected through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and even dedicated his latest album VIEWS to her. Rihanna met her through Drake, and the pair were also close. Megan suffered from cancer, and unfortunately lost the fight on Sunday.

“Rest in peace my angel. I know heaven is celebrating today,” Drake wrote. “Thank you for the moments and emotions we share I am blessed to have known you in this lifetime.” Rihanna also reminisced on her time with Megan. “I had the pleasure of meeting an angel on earth!” she wrote. “After my show in Miami, [Drake] introduced me to Megan! She’s inspired me so much with her strength and her perspective on life! So fearless and kind!” According to Rihanna, the pair talked through Instagram after their initial meet up. “It’s heavy news that I can’t slide in your DMs anymore like I used to!! There was always a smile waiting for me there!” she said. “You brightened any day! Rest up baby girl! We will miss you!!”

Drake shouted Megan out in the liner notes of VIEWS, dedicating the album to her and hoping for her recovery. “This body of work is dedicated to Megan Flores. I pray for your well-being every day,” he wrote. RIP to a legend.
