Drake is Named the Most Streamed Artist On Spotify's PlayStation Music news

One year ago, Spotify launched its service on PlayStation Music, and today the company shared more details about how its been used and what people are listening to. According to Spotify, PlayStation users have streamed over 5 billion songs on the platform while gaming. Drake led the charge as the most-streamed artist both in the United States and worldwide. Other popular artists included Eminem, Fetty Wap, Future, the Weeknd, and Justin Bieber.

Worldwide, the most popular song was Major Lazer‘s “Lean On,” which makes sense, as it was recently named the most-streamed song ever on Spotify. Other popular tracks included Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth‘s “See You Again,” Post Malone‘s “White Iverson,” and G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha‘s “Me, Myself, & I.” Obviously, many of these trends follow the larger music charts, but it’s interesting to see what type of music people choose to game to. Eminem, who hasn’t had a new album out since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, nonetheless made it high on the list, likely because his aggressive rapping is fun to play games like Call of Duty to.
