Along with the Melania Trump plagiarism fiasco, there was another unhappy act that occurred at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday (July 19). Apparently, Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic song “September” was briefly played during day two of the RNC without authorization.

Members of EWF went on their Twitter account to denounce Donald Trump’s use of their music.

“Another unauthorized use (September) at the Republican Convention, against our wishes,” read the tweet, which is similar to the same message rock band Queen posted on Tuesday after their anthemic song, “We Are the Champions” was played at the RNC the previous day.

There’s no word on what type of legal action the legendary band can use against Donald Trump to insure that their music is not used during his presidential campaign.

Attorneys for Earth, Wind & Fire had no comment on the matter.

This past February, Earth, Wind & Fire was bestowed a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 ceremony, just 11 days after their co-founder and spiritual leader Maurice White passed away after a decades-long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
