Every Tragically Hip Album Is On The Canadian Billboard Chart

Following an incredible live performance in their hometown of Kingston (of which a third of Canadians tuned into), The Tragically Hip are now dominating the Canadian Billboard chart.

Every one of The Hip’s seventeen albums have landed onto the Top 200 this week, with four charting in the top ten. The news is rather momentous, as the alternative rock band beat out strong challengers like Frank Ocean, Tory Lanez, Drake, and the immensely popular, Suicide Squad soundtrack.

The number one album on the chart is The Tragically Hip’s greatest hits, Yer Favourites, while their latest LP, Man Machine Poem, sits in at a comfortable six. Fully Completely and Up To Here, bottom out the top ten.

The group recently completed the final leg of their farewell tour earlier this month, as lead singer Gord Downie continues to battle a cancerous brain tumour. The live show in Kingston was made commercial-free by the CBC, and reached 11.7 million Canadians, making it one of the most watched events in the country’s history.

As Chart Attack reports, the band’s sales are up 157% from the week prior, while digital song sales are up 342%. It’s safe to say that Canada loves The Tragically Hip, just as much as The Hip love their home country. All seventeen of the charting albums are available physically and digitally, and you can cop them on streaming services as well.
