The veteran pop star has dropped her a new single, her first since last year’s Iggy Azalea duet “Pretty Girls, and she’s once again teamed up with a white rapper of the moment; which this time is G-Eazy.
And the song ain’t half bad.
Produced by BURNS, the slow-burning midtempo number features Spears cooing “You make me oooooh,” on a seductive hook and sports a G-Eazy verse where the rapper spits “See, I can tell that you’re a dangerous woman/That means you’re speaking my language, c’mon/Follow me, let’s go/Like Penelope in Blow.”
The song seems to be pretty well-received thus far, which bodes well for Britney–at least better than “Pretty Girls’ fared. Despite the two performing the song a the 2015 Billboard Awards, Britney’s collabo with Iggy wasn’t exactly commercially successful and things quickly deteriorated into a very public spat between the two.
G-Eazy is currently on the road with Logic, Yo Gotti, and YG; performing on The Endless Summer Tour which launched in June. The all-star rap trek kicked off June 28 in Dallas, TX, and is hitting 24 cities across North America before concluding on Aug. 5 in Hartford, Conn.
According to E! Online, “Make Me” has already dethroned Britney’s ex-bf Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling” on iTunes.
