Hear Calvin Harris, John Newman's Suave Breakup Song 'Ole' news

British singer John Newman explores post-break-up drama and insecurities on his suave new single, “Olé,” co-written by Scottish EDM star Calvin Harris.

“I see online that you’ve begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend/ Being attentive, continue to pretend,” Newman croons over a breezy, tropical guitar riff. “You’ve hidden my name on your phone so you can call me to tell me you’ve been going through hell/ Left him alone and you booked in a hotel.”

Some have speculated that Harris wrote the track as a diss against Taylor Swift, following the couple’s highly publicized break-up.

Newman – whom Rolling Stone dubbed an “Artist You Need to Know” in 2014 – broke out with debut 2013 solo single, “Love Me Again,” which hit Number One on the UK Singles chart. The British singer previously collaborated with Harris on 2014 single “Blame,” and he released his second LP, Revolve, in 2015.
