Here's a Preview of That Christina Aguilera Duet With Hologram Whitney Houston news

A Christina Aguilera and hologram Whitney Houston duet on The Voice has been rumored for weeks, and it seems that it will really be happening on the show’s upcoming finale. Footage of the performance—which has since been deleted—made its way online of a dressed-up Aguilera belting Houston’s hit single, “I Have Nothing,” on her own. Soon enough, Aguilera turns behind her and says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Whitney Houston.”

Suddenly, a hologram Whitney Houston appears in a white gown, which is as eerie as it sounds, and the two duet the rest of the song. At the end of “Nothing,” the camera stays focused on the duo as Houston magically twirls into a new red gown like a scene straight out of her 1997 film, Cinderella. The two immediately launch into a performance of Houston’s other famous hit, “I’m Every Woman.” The whole thing is pretty bone-chilling considering Houston passed away suddenly and tragically at the age of 48 back in 2012.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a hologram has been used for entertainment purposes. Back in 2011, a hologram Mariah Carey popped up in Germany to perform “Silent Night” along with her hit holiday song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” There was also that monumental time when a digital projection of Tupac made a surprise appearance at Coachella in 2012. As recently as this past April, it was reported that tech company ARHT and ByStorm Entertainment made an agreement that states the Biggie “Humagram” will appear both in music videos and concerts. It seems Whitney Houston is just the latest to join the posthumous performance club.
