Inside Carrie Underwoods Red Hot Storyteller Tour: Ram Report news

Carrie Underwood is currently on the road, bringing her Storyteller Tour to arenas around the U.S. But while the music is undeniably rooted in country, the production itself is born of the pop world.

Billed as an “in the round” experience, the concert boasts a circular stage, which Underwood prowls throughout the nearly two-hour show. There’s also her impressive catalogue of hits: “Last Name,” “Before He Cheats,” “Cowboy Casanova” and her first Number One, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” are all in the set. As is the anthemic “Something in the Water” and a heavy dose of songs off Storyteller.

“Choctaw County Affair,” a Storyteller standout of cheating and murder, shows off a grittier side of Underwood, and allows her the opportunity to exhibit a new talent: playing the harmonica. Underwood learned the instrument especially for the tour.

Underwood will perform on the Grammy Awards in L.A. on Monday, February 15th, before returning to the road with a show in Pittsburgh on the 17th.
