There are still many unanswered questions surrounding the death of the late music icon Prince.
Investigators say there were painkillers at his Paisley Park estate where the Purple Rain legend died according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Authorities are determining how prescription pills and the fact Prince had been unconscious during an emergency landing a few days before he passed, may be connected to his cause of death. They have called on the Drug Enforcement Administration to help in identifying the type of painkillers he had in his possession and where he had gotten them, NBC News reports. Initial reports following his death stated Prince had been battling the flu for several weeks. Foul play and suicide have not been suspected as causes.
An autopsy has been conducted, but medical examiners handling his case say a report may not be made available to the public from anywhere to four to six weeks.
Prince’s longtime collaborator Sheila E. hopes to turn Paisley Park into a museum to honor the legendary singer-guitarist’s rich musical legacy.
