Jason Aldean Unveils New Album 'They Don't Know' news

With “Lights Come On” taking the top spot on both the Mediabase and Billboard charts this week, Jason Aldean has revealed September 9th as the release date for his seventh studio album, They Don’t Know. The LP continues the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year’s work with longtime producer Michael Knox and features the same band the country superstar has featured both on- and off-stage for the past decade. Currently headlining his Six String Circus tour, with stops this coming weekend in New York and Michigan, Aldean chose the hard-charging “Lights Come On,” which name-checks the tour in its first verse, as the lead single from the album for its rock-infused party vibe.

“I really wanted to start this new album with one of those big up-tempos,” Aldean says of the song penned by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line with Brad and Brett Warren, Jordan Schmidt and Jimmy Robbins. “For it to click right away with fans and radio is a really cool way to start. With all the records we’ve done, we’ve been able to explore new sounds and really just do things our own way, and that’s sort of what the title track is all about.”

“Lights Come On” is the Georgia native’s 17th career Number One. His new album’s release date coincides with Aldean’s co-headlining gig with Kid Rock at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park. The Six String Circus tour is currently slated to run through October 1st.

They Don’t Know is now available for pre-order at iTunes.
