Joe Budden potentially announced his retirement from rap on Twitter today (May 16). He tweeted a list of dates and locations, followed by another tweet thanking his fans and confirming those shows will be his last.

“To whom it may concern, those are the last Budden shows ever…Thx to all of you that helped me live out my dreams,” Budden posted to his twitter account.

His last show date will be a B.B. Kings in Washington, DC on June 15.

The announcement came with little or no explanation, as it can mean several different things. Will these be his last performances, but he’ll still record music? Will he still be on Slaughterhouse’s next album? Or is he done with rap altogether?

Budden came onto the mainstream scene in 2003 with the Just Blaze-produced single “Pump It Up” and his self-titled album released through Def Jam. But some may remember the New York native rapper coming up in the mixtape game with DJ Clue. His way with words quickly made I’m one of the most popular among underground rappers in the early 2000’s. Now, Budden is still mostly known for his way with words but not necessarily in his songs.

He’s very active and vocal on social media, and has become a reality show star since being featured on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop New York and Couple Therapy.

But if you’re a Budden fan and want to see one of his last solo performances, check the dates below.
