Not long after he announced the title of his new album, Turbo Grafx 16, Kanye West is in the studio to work on the project. On Sunday (Feb. 28), Yeezy’s longtime confidant, Ibn Jasper, posted a photo of the early studio session.

In the above picture, snapped by Jasper, you can see ‘Ye, Kid Cudi and producers Mike Dean and Plain Pat hard at work in the studio. “TURBO GRAFX 16 day 1,” reads the caption.

Although the Cudder is no longer a G.O.O.D. Music artist, he has contributed vocals on almost all of West’s previous albums. You can also hear the “Day ‘N’ Nite” rhymer on The Life of Pablo‘s “Waves” which also features Chris Brown.

Interestingly, Jasper also posted a brief clip of a young Kanye talking about his love of video games. He also shared a throwback photo of The College Dropout album photo shoot starring West and several guys in their animal mascot costumes.

All of these clues could mean that Turbo Grafx 16 will be a video game-inspired album with lyrics and production that harken back to the days of College Dropout.

As of now, the only information we have about the album is that Drake and Migos could possibly be featured on the project. In addition, West recently unveiled the Jay Z-sampling track “Closest Thing to Einstein” at a Yo Gotti listening party in Los Angeles’ 1OAK club. There’s no word if the song will appear on the album.

In the meantime, we will have to wait and see what Kanye West is bringing with his new project. Turbo Grafx 16 is scheduled to hits stores this summer.
