With the release of Kanye West's new album literally days away, he just took to Twitter to announce that the project might have a secret new title. If you've been keeping track, the album has been called So Help Me God, SWISH, and WAVES through the recording process and as of late last week was currently untitled. It's unclear how 'Ye possibly came up with his new secret title, but minutes after the initial message, he sent out another tweet boasting about the fact that the original tweet had over 10,000 retweets in only a few seconds.
As with the title mystery, not much is known about the actual album at this point, other than the vague clues that Kanye has supplied via the project's hand-written tracklist, which has already changed multiple times. What is known is that Kanye is set to premiere the project this Thursday during his Yeezy Season 3 event at Madison Square Garden in NYC. He's also scheduled to perform on Saturday Night Live this week, though the rest of the rollout for the project is unclear.
Kanye has said that the album is really a gospel project, though he's been in the studio with the likes of 2 Chainz, André 3000, Kid Cudi, Puff Daddy, Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, A$AP Rocky, and more. With the way that Kanye is handling the secrecy of the album's title, it's doubtful that we get much more info before the release later this week.
