Kanye West just dropped the first single of Cruel Winter on Big Boy’s 92.3, which as Big Boy correctly points out “captures magic in a bottle.” Kanye didn’t mess around and recruited Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Travi$ Scott, Quavo, and his newest G.O.O.D. music signee Desiigner on the track that is so new, it doesn’t even have an official title yet. “I had the basic beat for a year and a half. It sounded right for this project,” Kanye told Big Boy. “This is the hook we should have for the first single.”
Speaking on collaborations, Kanye told Big Boy that “a lot of times it’s just the energy in the studio, whoever is coming by. And then we get to talk about who would sound nice on the track.”
Recently, footage of Kanye and Big Sean’s studio session surfaced online through Sean’s Snapchat story. Now, it’s clear they were actually finishing up work on the track that Kanye dropped today.
Kanye also appeared in ScHoolboy Q’s video for “THat Part” that featured the two artists on an adventure with the crew through a sort of funhouse in California.
Kanye has definitely been busy lately, but nothing is more exciting than the impending arrival of Cruel Winter. Listen to the track below.
