Kelly Clarkson is defending Kesha's in the wake of her ongoing legal battle with Dr. Luke. In a new interview with Australia's KIIS 1065, Kelly goes as far as calling Luke—who she previously collaborated with on her breakout single “Since You Been Gone” and most recently on 2009's “My Life Would Suck Without You”—a bad person and a liar. “He’s just not a good person to me. We’ve clashed.  He’s just not a good guy to me,” she says. “Obviously he’s a talented dude, but he’s just lied a lot. I’ve run into a couple really bad situations where, musically, it’s been really hard for me because he will just lie to people. And then it makes the artist look bad. And he’s kind of difficult to work with, kind of demeaning.”

It's been several years since Kelly worked with Luke, and she says it's because of “good solid reasons.” She also says it was her record label, 19, which is owned by Sony, that “blackmailed” her into working with Dr. Luke both in 2004 and 2009. “They were like, 'We will not put your album out if you don’t do this.' It was a really hard time for me. And you know, we have a whole crew to support and people that depend on us for their livelihood, so sometimes you just have to make those decisions and swallow that pill.” Just last month, Kelly shared a tweet in regards to Dr. Luke, but the singer said in this latest interview that she cannot speak to Kesha's allegations since she wasn't there for any of it. You can skip to the 1:23:30 mark in the interview below to hear Clarkson's words on Dr. Luke.
