Lil B Confirms James Harden and Kevin Durant Are Both Still Cursed news

Lil B appeared on ESPN’s excellent new basketball show, The Jump, Friday afternoon, and he confirmed Rockets guard James Harden and Thunder forward Kevin Durant are indeed still bearing the weight of the dreaded Curse of the Based God.

Tracy McGrady certainly believes in the curse on Harden. “That curse was real, B,” he said, while co-host Rachel Nichols added that anyone who watched Harden play this year wouldn’t doubt the curse.

McGrady, however, said Durant couldn’t be cursed because he’s going to sign a massive contract this offseason. How could someone flourish that much while being cursed? “The man’s about to sign for $200 million,” he said. “That’s a hell of a curse.”

Lil B said it’s an on-court specific curse. When Durant’s Thunder miraculously dropped a 3-1 series lead to the Warriors, Lil B was quick to remind everyone of his role.

Lil B, a Warriors fan, originally cursed Harden because the Beard stole his “cooking” dance, and Durant because he insulted Lil B’s music on Twitter and then didn’t follow through on an agreement to play one-on-one. Lil B even sent a diss track KD’s way.

We see a progressive period from Kevin Durant, before the curse and after the curse,” Lil B told SB Nation earlier this week. “After the curse he got injured. No titles. The team that I support, just went to the championship after Durant’s curse went on. Kevin Durant battles with the same team the Based God is rooting for, which is all a lesson.”

Lil B has already posted eight photos from his Jump appearance on his Instagram.

It’s time, KD. Let’s get that game of 21.
