Despite going through a legal battle with Cash Money, Lil Wayne found time to give back to his native hometown of New Orleans. The Young Money leader donated skating ramps to a local park in the city.

When Weezy held his 2nd annual Lil Weezyana Fest back on Aug. 27, the rapper had OC Ramps, a California-based company that makes skating ramps, build a pop-up skate park so kids could skate while enjoying the festivities. Afterward, OC Ramps was set to tear down the skate park and ship it back to California.

But the company had a meeting with Wayne and the rapper decided to donate the ramps to Parisite, a local skate park in the N.O. that’s located under a freeway.

On Aug. 28, Wayne and OC Ramps delivered the ramps, much to the skaters’ delight. “It was like watching kids open their Christmas gifts,” said the company in a press release.

“We love skateboarding and we love the city of New Orleans. We have nothing but love for the skaters out there and hope they continue to enjoy the skate obstacles as long as possible,” they added.

Props to Lil Wayne (and OC Ramps) for giving back to his beloved New Orleans community. Skate on, Weezy F. Baby!
