Maxwell is on the move. The 42-year-old singer has announced cities and dates for his North American tour this summer.

Maxwell will make 31 stops on his summer trek, which is in support of his next album, blackSUMMERS’night, which hits stores in July.

It’s been seven years since Maxwell released BLACKsummers’night and it’s explosive single, “Pretty Wings.” Needless to say, we’ve been ready for a fix. Last week, he released the smooth track, “Lake By The Ocean.”

Before his summer tour, Maxwell will perform in New Orleans and Trinidad and Tobago on April 23 and 24, respectively. His summer dates include stops at the Essence Music Festival, Brooklyn, N.Y., Nashville, Austin, Texas and Norfolk, Va., before wrapping it up in Jacksonville, Fla.

And it seems like his concert will be the one not to miss. According to Maxwell, he’s feeling “pretty damn good right now.” Although his fans may not be on the same wave — many are saying that his tour doesn’t visit a lot of the major cities.

“HOW DARE MAXWELL GO ON TOUR AND NOT COME TO Chicago, Atlanta, or DC,” read a tweet by one disappointed fan. “Maxwell is going on tour and these locations are… random af.”

But there’s a number of fans who will make it work. “Maxwell posted tour dates today. Looks like [Nashville] the closest so far. I’ve seen him once and will see him again,” read a tweet by a dedicated fan.
