Meek Mill must be feeling himself after nabbing the Top Rap Album trophy at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. The Philly spitfire delivered a passionate verse on his “All the Way Up” freestyle featuring Fabolous.
Over the horn-driven street banger, Mill continues to throw lyrical darts at Drake for not writing his own rhymes and using ghostwriters.
“This is hip-hop / You ain’t write it, don’t record it / I don’t know how they gettin’ down ‘cross the border,” he spits, adding, “Views from the projects / N—- I’m the prospect.”
Fabolous also delivers a fiery verse as well as he tells Mill not to worry about the haters.
“They gonna take shots when you all the way up / I guess they gotta aim up at you / But don’t you let these nobodies get their name up on you,” he raps.
Meek Mill and Drake have been feuding back and forth since last year releasing diss songs like “Wanna Know” and “Back to Back,” respectively.
Since then, the Dreamchaser leader has kept a low profile as he serves out his final days of his three-month house arrest. Meanwhile, Drake is still winning with Views becoming the biggest-selling album of 2016, so far.
Now the question remains. Is anyone taking Meek Mill’s disses against Drake seriously? Listen to the song below and tell us what you think in the comment section.
