Metallica have unveiled that they've completed work on Hardwired … to Self-Destruct and they've made some tweaks to the deluxe versions since they originally announced the initial track listing. In lieu of a "Riff Origins" bonus disc, it will now include some of their favorite cover songs and live recordings.

Iron Maiden's "Remember Tomorrow," Deep Purple's "When a Blind Man Cries" and "Ronnie Rising Medley," which was previously only available on 2014's Ronnie James Dio – This is Your Life tribute album, will now appear on the deluxe sets' bonus disc.

"As we were in the 11th hour of wrapping it up, it dawned on us that we have never shared with you in any sort of cohesive 'official' manner the extensive covers we have worked on since Death Magnetic," the band wrote on its website. "While digging into the bonus options to complement the 12-song album with additional material, we realized that none of our versions of these songs from some of our favorite and most respected artists have been readily available on our very own Blackened Recordings."

The deluxe packages will still feature the previously announced 2016 version of "Lords of Summer," alongside the newly remastered cover songs. The bonus disc will also house their live set from Record Store Day 2016, which was recorded and performed at Rasputin Music in Berkeley, CA, where the band celebrated their reissues of Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning. The bonus material is rounded out by a live recording of "Hardwired" from their show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN, in August.

The follow-up to 2008's Death Magnetic, their new LP Hardwired … to Self-Destruct will be released on November 18th.
