It seems like Metro Boomin is everywhere these days and that's not a bad thing at all since he's one of, if not the hottest producer in rap at the moment. While Metro is constantly in the studio at work, he took some time out of his busy schedule during a recent trip to England to do an interview with BBC and Benji B. During the conversation, Metro talked about his work with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo and how his relationship with Future has developed throughout both of their careers.
The most interesting part of the interview was when Metro revealed that he was recently in the studio with Kendrick Lamar, and that Kendrick picked out some of his beats to possibly work on. Seeing that Kendrick just dropped a project last week, it seems unlikely that we'll hear anything they work on soon, but the thought of the potential between Kendrick and Metro is crazy in itself.
Additionally, Metro said that he's been working a lot with Big Sean and that he will be featured on his upcoming album, though Sean hasn't revealed exactly when that's coming out. Prior to this interview, there were strong rumors that Metro was working with Drake in Toronto, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. What is confirmed is that it's going to be another huge year for Metro Boomin. You can listen to Metro's full interview with BBC here, and the part where he talked about Kendrick below.
