Marvel Comics is still rolling out some fantastic artwork with their Hip-Hop Variant Cover series, which fluently reimagines classic hip-hop albums with comic-book art. Rap acts Logic, Pusha T, Tech N9ne, De La Soul and Cypress Hill received comic-book redos of their album covers. And Marvel just released five more exclusively for Billboard.

This time around, Nas, Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, EPMD and Prodigy (with Alchemist) get the comic book treatment.

If you look above, Nas’ 2012 album Life Is Good album inspired the Spider-Man artwork. Down below, Dr. Dre’s 2013 (swan album?) Compton was the inspiration for the Black Panther illustration of the fictional African nation Wakanda.

Missy Elliott’s 2002 banger Under Construction was used for the new Invincible Iron-Man comic book series. As you may known, MIT prodigy Riri Williams is now donning the red and yellow armored suit.

EPMD’s 1992 album Back in Business was the inspiration behind the Iron Fist cover and finally, Prodigy and Alchemist’s 2013 album Albert Einstein album was used for the Venom cover.

Previously, Marvel delivered 11 other installments that included Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book and Kevin Gates’ Islah.

Salute to Marvel for paying homage to hip-hop with their artistic hip-hop variant covers. Keep ‘em coming!
