Eric D. Chavis, an under-the-radar MC from Columbus, Ohio, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for recruiting underage girls to be in his sexually explicit music videos.

Chavis, 24, went by the name Thot King and filmed himself having both simulated and real sex with girls who were all under 18 years of age. On top of that, between February 23 and April 9, Chavis uploaded the girls having sex with him 29 times and sold DVDs of the encounters on social media sites.

According to the judge in the case, the soon-to-be jail bird knew the girls were all underage and decided to pursue them for that very reason. He also said if the victims were younger, then the charges would have been far worse.

“If the victims were young children, probably the number would be much higher,” said U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson. “These victims were all mature but not of legal age. You trolled the Internet to entice underage performers to come and make music videos with you and others.”

Despite the judge’s harsh words, the struggle rapper actually said he had no ill intent.

“I was trying to pursue my dream in the music industry,” said Chavis, who also goes by the name Ay Streatz. “I never in my life thought I would be standing in front of your honor.”

According to The Columbus Dispatch, the disgraced rapper will be on probation for 10 years after he completes his 15-year sentence, and he’ll also have to register as a sex offender.
