Travis Scott scored his first Number One album on the Billboard 200 as the rapper's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight sold 88,000 total copies in its debut week to claim the top spot. The rapper's previous LP, 2015's Rodeo, peaked at Number Three.

As Billboard notes, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is the fifth Apple Music/iTunes exclusive to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 in 2016, following Drake's Views, Future's Evol, DJ Khaled's Major Key and, most recently, Frank Ocean's Blonde.

Florida rockers A Day to Remember also logged a career best as the group's sixth studio album Bad Vibrations debuted at Number Two with 67,000 copies. That's a vast improvement over the band's previous album, 2013's Common Courtesy, which mustered a peak of only Number 37 on the Billboard 200.

A week after four new releases packed into the Top 10, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight and Bad Vibrations were the only debuts to earn that distinction this week as the rest of the upper tier was filled with returnees. Drake's Views placed Number Three, the Suicide Squad soundtrack finished Number Four and Florida Georgia Line's Dig Your Roots took Number Five.

Barbra Streisand's Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, last week's chart topper, dropped to Number Six in its second week, where it was followed by Twenty One Pilots' Blurryface (Seven), Rihanna's Anti (Eight) and Beyoncé's Lemonade (Nine). Frank Ocean's Blonde wrapped things up at Number 10.

Next week, new releases by Jason Aldean (They Don't Know), Bastille (Wild World), Wilco (Schmilco) and Jack White (Acoustic Recordings 1998 – 2016) will duke it out with Scott for the top spot.
