Organized Noize Receives Honorary Keys to Atlanta [VIDEO]

It seems like everyone is getting keys to the city nowadays. In this case, it’s well-deserved. Production group Organized Noize received three keys to the city of Atlanta during the screening of their new documentary, The Art of Organized Noize, at the SCADShow theater on Friday (March 18).

The trio – Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown – was presented with the keys by Councilman Kwanza Hall at the screening. In addition, the city of Atlanta has proclaimed March 18th as “Organized Noize Day.”

If you don’t know who Organized Noize are – first, you should be ashamed of yourself. Second, read our exclusive interview with the production group as they discuss Atlanta, southern rap and their new documentary.

To sum it up, Organized Noize played a huge part in developing the sound of Southern rap. They have produced music for OutKast, Goodie Mob, Witchdoctor, Cool Breeze and many other amazing Dungeon Family artists. They have also produced hit songs for TLC, Brandy, Ludacris, Big Boi, Future and many more.

Organized Noize joins a list of artists who were recently given keys to their respective hometowns — including Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Bryson Tiller.

Organized Noize’s documentary The Art of Organized Noize will premiere on Netflix on March 22.
