Swindle and D Double E on a track together is a dangerous combination for dance-floors worldwide. Exhibited here in their zesty grime banger "Lemon Trees", Swindle's dubstep-jazz inspired instrumentation gives D Double the perfect platform to leng it down as only he can.
The jazz/funk formula has been fruitful for Swindle, audible in the previously released Connecta EP and again heard throughout the rest of the Funk & Grime EP, part of the producer's trilogy of EPs recorded across London, Sau Paulo and Los Angeles, demonstrating Swindle's standing as one of the most creative bass music producers at present. The video compliments the sonic flavour that the pair cooked up in the city of angels; featuring the hazy LA summertime, a Chevy lowrider and high-life antics aplenty. Check it out above.
Funk & Grime drops on Sept. 16, also featuring Ghetts and Flava D. Pre-order Funk & Grime here.
