It’s official! Prince‘s band, The Revolution, are reuniting to honor The Purple One.

The bandmates gathered together after hearing the news of Prince’s untimely passing last Thursday (April 21.) But with lemons, there’s always lemonade to be made.

“We have decided, after spending three or four days together now, grieving over the loss of Prince that we would like to come out and do some shows. And we want to let you know that we’ll be there soon,” said Wendy Melvoin, one of the prominent members of the band, who was also featured in the 1984 film Purple Rain alongside Lisa Coleman.

The duo also co-wrote many of Prince’s biggest albums and songs including “Computer Blue,” “Mountains,” “17 Days” and “America.”

Another bandmate of The Revolution, Bobby ‘Z’ Rivkin, released the video announcement on his Facebook page and alongside it came a touching message.

“Will miss my Best Friend eternally…The Artist forever known as Prince. But, we’re still a group, right? I thank you all for your words and support. Rest In Peace My Brother,” he wrote.

It’s unknown where The Revolution will head on their tour just yet. But while fans wait patiently for the band’s itinerary to be release, they can catch screenings of Purple Rain, which has now been added to 200 more AMC theaters this weekend.
