Prince is dead. The news hit the Web like an atomic bomb–in a year that has seen more than it’s fair share of iconic and beloved musicians passing away, the sudden death of Prince Rogers Nelson shocked fans and peers around the world.
The legendary singer was found this morning at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was 57 years old, and leaves behind an unrivaled legacy that stretches throughout music and culture.
The cause of death has not been confirmed. Prince had been on a flight home from Atlanta last week, when his pilot made an emergency landing to take the star to the hospital. A representative later stated that he had the flu.
Celebrities from the worlds of music, sports and television reacted with shock and sadness at the loss of the legendary musician.
Just sat in bathroom and cried like a baby.
