In an interview with Heat Magazine, Ray J’s business manager, David Weintraub, shared that the two may find themselves in the courtroom soon.
‘We’re talking about potentially doing something because there’s too many times Kanye has done this, and you can’t really continue to use people’s likeness without either compensation or clearance,” he said. “It seems to be becoming an issue – this is like the fourth time in six months he’s done this. We haven’t really worked anything out. There were kind of discussions but it’s getting old, so our legal team is working out what we want to do with everything.”
Oddly enough, Weintraub went to school with Kourtney Kardashian and worked as a manager for her ex-husband, Scott Disick. But it seems that he’s switched sides for this one.
In case you missed it, Kanye’s video drew controversy as it showed himself and his wife, Kim Kardashian naked in bed together. The two were also joined by realistic figures of Ray J, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Donald Trump, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, George W. Bush and Amber Rose.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Ray J decided to sue—especially since Ye is baiting people to do so. In a now deleted tweet, Ye said, “Can somebody sue me already #I’ll wait.”
Ray J also seemed pretty livid about the situation when a reporter asked him about it.
“Don’t put me part of nothing that’s weird, that don’t make sense,” he said of the video in an interview with Entertainment Tonight while backstage at the 2016 BET Awards.
