Rihanna has canceled her show in Nice in the wake of the devastating Bastille Day attack that left at least 84 people dead in the French city. Saturday’s (July 16) Nice Jazz Festival has also been cancelled, and Rihanna offered apologies and condolences via Instagram.

“Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned,” Rihanna wrote in a caption. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

Rihanna is currently in Europe on her Anti Tour, and was in Nice at the time of the attack. The singer’s reps have said that she is “safe.”

BBC News reports that, in Nice on Thursday (July 14), at least 84 people were killed, including approximately 10 children, after a truck slammed through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in the southern French city. The attack happened after the end of a firework display for Bastille Day, the country’s national holiday.

According to the Daily Mail, at least another 50 people were injured after the truck mowed down crowds gathered in the street; driving over a mile and crushing people, including children, gathered on the Promenade des Anglais before the driver got out and sprayed crowds with bullets. Eyewitnesses say there was an exchange of gunfire in the aftermath of the incident before the driver was shot. Additional artillery were later reportedly found inside the truck.
