Green Day have shared a third track off their upcoming album Revolution Radio, unveiling the lyric video for the rousing "Still Breathing."

On the heels of the fast-paced, punk-laced "Bang Bang" and "Revolution Radio," Billie Joe Armstrong downshifts the tempo for a slow-burning rocker about survival in uncertain times as well as alluding to the singer's own victory over addiction.

"I'm like a junkie tying off the last time / I'm like a loser that's betting on his last dime / Oh, I'm still alive," Armstrong sings on the track. "I'm like a son that was raised without a father / I'm like a mother barely keeping it together / Oh, I'm still alive."

"Cause I'm still breathing on my own / My head's above the rain and roses / Makin' my way away / Cause I'm still breathing," Armstrong shouts on the inspiring chorus.

In Rolling Stone's track-by-track breakdown of Revolution Radio, out October 7th, Armstrong said of "Still Breathing," "That was a very heavy song. Sometimes I run away from being too heavy. But sometimes it just comes out that way." The chorus, "I'm still breathing on my own" is Armstrong's resignation to the fact that "at some point, we're all going to have to be on life support," says Armstrong. "As time goes on, your thoughts get darker."

While Armstrong and company are "still breathing," an upper respiratory infection forced the band and their crew to postpone three of Green Day's first four fall tour dates and cancel their Friday gig in Toronto. The band's tour now officially kicks off Saturday night in Detroit.
