The family of Christina Grimmie has unveiled “Snow White,” the first of four music videos the singer had worked on prior to her death.
The family of Christina Grimmie, the former Voice singer who was killed by a deranged fan in June, has unveiled the first of four music videos Grimmie had worked on prior to her death.
The video for "Snow White," off Grimmie's final EP Side A, is the first chapter in a long-form music video titled the Ballad of Jessica Blue, with Grimmie playing the titular character. Billboard will debut a new chapter from the series every week throughout August.
"The story follows a young girls journey into self-discovery through her love life, her womanhood and her music," Grimmie's Facebook wrote of the four-part video. "'Jessica' is at a crossroads in her life. She becomes suspicious of her boyfriend and is gripped by insecurities only to realize that she is doing more damaged to her own heart and future than any relationship ever could."
Over the course of the saga's four videos, Blue "finds her path by doing what she loves. She sings from her heart."
"Snow White" follows the memorial video the Grimmie family released that celebrated the singer's life and career.
