Chris Cornell made a surprise appearance during Yusuf’s Los Angeles concert to perform “Wild World” with the singer formerly known as Cat Stevens.
After Yusuf tackled the opening lines, Cornell lent his own trademark vocals to the lyric, "But if you want to leave, take good care/ Hope you have a lot of nice things to wear/ But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there." Cornell also contributed background vocals to the performance. Yusuf was also recently joined by another grunge icon at his Global Citizen Festival set in September when Eddie Vedder popped up mid-set to sing "Father and Son."
In Nashville, Yusuf's first concert there 40 years, Jack White also came out unannounced to perform "Where Do All the Children Play?" Bonnie 'Prince' Billy was also on hand for the Ryman Auditorium show.
The North American leg of Yusuf's tour, which featured the singer's first New York public performances since 1976, concludes Friday night at Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre.
