After it was reported that Tamar Braxton had been booted from The Real after three years as a co-host, rumors swirled about possible betrayal at the hands of her co-hosts and footage surfaced of the devastated talk show host mewling over her firing.
But Tamar has bounced back with her own forthcoming talk show courtesy of Steve Harvey’s East 112th Street Production company.
“Won’t He do it?!”
Here are 10 things we love about Tamar Braxton.
She keeps it real.
When Tamar was dropped from The Real, she didn’t hold back about her feelings and took to Instagram to pen a note on her emotions. According to her, she had to seek comfort in the arms of her big sister Toni Braxton after she was “betrayed” by someone close to her and let go.
Tamar definitely doesn’t hold back.
She added spice to “The Real.”
Whether it was her “yas” or “won’t he do it” catch phrases, Tamar Braxton added her own twist to The Real. Furthermore, her frequent difference-of-opinion with co-hosts Tamera Mowry and Jeannie Mai made the show entertaining.
She’s a fighter.
During a 2015 appearance on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, Tamar pushed herself to continue in the competition even after falling ill. After being taken to the hospital with what was believed to be pneumonia, Tamar returned to the rehearsals. Ultimately, she had to give up her time on the program due to dangerous blood clots in her lungs.
With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem. After yesterday's final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn't want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don't have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.'s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs) As you all know I will be the first to always encourage anyone to push through any obstacle that comes along one's way. But in this case, my health is my current obstacle. .. And in TRUE #tamartian form I must go about this the exact same way as I would anything else. I woke up to a mirror and saw myself this morning and that makes me the winner because that almost wasn't the case. Take care of yourselves… I love you and thank you ALL for your support❤️ p.s. Big hugs and kisses to my boo @iamvalc for being beyond a friend, brother and the BEST partner EVER
She’s a proud Braxton.
In addition to The Real, viewers got a taste of Tamar on WE TV’s Braxton Family Values. Even though the youngest Braxton sometimes squabbles with her sisters, it’s apparent that she’s a proud member of her famed family.
She loves Vince.
Tamar is open and honest about her love for her husband of 8 years Vincent Herbert. Tay Tay previously said that “divorce is not an option” and she previously told Black Enterprise that she takes offense to people speculating that she’s a gold digger.
“How do you know I don’t like teddy bears?” said Tamar.
“I mean, really? Have a seat. Do people realize that [those comments] are very disrespectful to my relationship and friendship with my husband?
I find no humor in that,” she added.
She loves her fans.
Tamar’s loyal fanbase a.k.a. her “Tamartians” are treated more like friends than admirers. Tay Tay’s fans use her lingo and often engage with the star on social media.
She makes motherhood look fun.
Tamar is the proud mother of her son Logan Vincent Herbert. Tamar’s unabashed about spoiling her son who’s the spitting his father with extravagant gifts like a pet pig, yes a pig, for Christmas.
Tamar’s sense of humor is unmatched. Whether it’s through memes, her spontaneous songs or her jokes, Tamar always keeps up laughing.
She can actually sing.
Tamar Braxton is more than just a TV personality, she’s a bonafide singer. When the Love & War songstress burst onto the scene on Braxton Family Values viewers were unsure about the vocal ability of Toni Braxton’s little sister. She’s now proven time and time again that she truly has pipes.
