Deftones’ eighth studio album, Gore, has landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart on this week’s album sales.
According to Billboard, Gore moved 71,000 copies and sold 69,000 in pure album sales. The album marks the first release in four years from the band since 2012’s Koi No Yokan. Gore also gives them their best sales week since 2006’s Saturday Night Wrist with 76,000 sold. It’s supported by their current single, “Prayers/Triangles.”
At No. 1 is The Lumineers’ Cleopatra, which sits at the top of the charts with 125,000 copies sold. 108,000 of those were in traditional album sales.
Other chart movements were Rihanna’s Anti moved up to No. 5 (44,000 units), Justin Bieber’s Purpose moves from No. 8 to No. 6 (38,000 units), and Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface goes up from No. 10 to No. 7.
