Tuesday was not the best day for Tyga. After a judge issued a warrant for Tyga’s arrest stemming from his failure to appear in court, TMZ reports the Kardashian fam promptly started blowing up his phone. According to sources “familiar with the situation,” the Kardashians are worried that Tyga’s legal trouble could “ruin” their brand.
The Kardashians reportedly slammed Tyga for being “super irresponsible” by missing the court hearing regarding his ongoing eviction case, which was scheduled for Tuesday morning but resulted in a bench warrant when Tyga was a no-show. The family is specifically worried, TMZ says, that Tyga getting pulled over and arrested with Kylie Jenner in the car would be a PR “disaster.”
Tyga missed the hearing because he’s reportedly celebrating Kylie’s 19th birthday in Turks and Caicos. According to TMZ, Tyga has already tapped an attorney to step in and rectify the missed court date. Court documents filed by Tyga’s former landlord and obtained by E! News Tuesday reportedly show that Tyga stopped paying his $16,000 monthly rent at the Malibu residence and “abandoned” the home in October of 2012. The landlord later discovered “major damages” and alterations to the home, with E! News reporting the total damage was worth an estimated $480,285. Tyga has reportedly failed to pay that amount, resulting in the case against him.
But Tyga’s landlord woes aren’t the only thing shaking up the Kardashian empire as of late. Rob & Chyna, the forthcoming docuseries centered on Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian’s relationship, has reportedly been hitting a few hurdles during filming. TMZ, citing sources close to the production, claims that Rob has been bailing on Rob & Chyna filming commitments because he feels the series might compromise his relationship with Chyna.
