Well, it looks like you can add another name to Chaz Bundick’s list of monikers, because he just dropped an ambient project titled Plum, under the pseudonym New Globe.

The release is part of Leaving Record’s Modern New Age series, and it can be ordered on Stones Throw’s website. Obviously, Bundick is actually Toro Y Moi, a prominent figure in the rise of chillwave and he also dropped three well received albums under that name, including 2015’s What For?Plus, he puts out electronic, dance music under his Les Sins title and released the album Michael in 2014.

In regards to Plum, it consists of one song that’s nearly eight minutes long, which the 29-year-old describes as a “long ambient synthesizer exploration.” The project also draws inspiration from Laraaji, a legendary figure in the wold of new age music, who’s released nearly 50 records.

“New Globe was created using the Dave Smith and Tom Oberhem OB-6 synthesizer and perhaps more specifically inspired by the still-contemporary new age music of legendary composer Laraaji,” a press statement read.

You can listen to Plum below.
