When news broke this morning that indisputable musical icon Sir Paul McCartney was denied entrance to Tyga's Grammys after party, the internet was having none of it. TMZ captured footage of the Beatles legend twice being rebuffed by security at the door of the party at the Argyle in Hollywood, outraging many who saw the move as disrespectful and frankly a little confusing. After all, who wouldn't want Paul McCartney at their party?
Tyga took to Twitter today to clear up his involvement in the incident. The Last Kings rapper denied he had any personal involvement. “Why would I deny Paul McCartney stop it,” he wrote, adding “he's a legend.” Of course, it still happened, but Tyga wanted everyone to know that it wasn't his doing. “I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.”
Thankfully, McCartney was able to attend Republic Records' afterparty, where some of the night's big winners, including Taylor Swift and the Weeknd were in attendance. Hopefully he was still able to enjoy himself despite the rebuff from Tyga's security detail.
