Rockin’1000, self-proclaimed “biggest rock band on Earth,” covered David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” at a concert in Cesena, Italy
Rockin'1000, a volunteer-based rock band featuring over 1,000 members, covered David Bowie's 1974 glam-rock anthem "Rebel Rebel" over the weekend at Orogel Stadium in Cesena, Italy. The panoramic performance clip shows the self-proclaimed "biggest rock band on Earth" split into crews of singers, bassists, drummers and keyboardists. (The group also features violinists and bagpipe players.)
"Last year, we did something extraordinary," the group's founder, Fabio Zaffagnini, tells the audience. "Someone called it a revolution. But this, what you're seeing here behind me: this is the revolution. Musicians from all over the world came together and are giving us an incredible live show. They're just like themselves, but they perform like rock stars, with no one standing out – showing us that with passion, dedication and fucking hard work, we can transform our lives. So stick together, no more conflicts and play rock n' roll."
