The interview series ‘Speakeasy’ returns for a second season featuring David Crosby, Graham Nash, Robbie Robertson and more.

Speakeasy, the public television series that captures intimate interviews with some of rock and pop's most famous voices, returns later this month for its second season. In forthcoming episodes, David Crosby chats with Wynton Marsalis, Graham Nash speaks with Rita Coolidge and Robbie Roberson talks with Warren Zanes.

"Artists of this caliber have doubtless done thousands of interviews throughout their careers, answering the same questions over and over again," Speakeasy creator Don Maggi said in a statement last year. "The beauty of the Speakeasy format is that it affords these artists a level of comfort, which in turn stimulates a unique, compelling and topical conversation that we would otherwise not have an opportunity to hear."

During a snippet of Crosby's interview with Marsalis premiering with Rolling Stone, the singer discusses his extensive back catalog – dismissing the CSNY classic "Almost Cut My Hair" as "probably the most juvenile thing I ever wrote" – and his difficulties with social media. "I have gotten so in trouble on Twitter, lord have mercy!" Crosby tells the crowd. "The other night I called Donald Trump a walking, intelligence-free zone."

Robertson also takes a trip down memory lane, chatting with Warren Zanes about The Band's days touring with Bob Dylan and shooting the legendary concert film The Last Waltz with Martin Scorsese. "We shot the concert, we got through it, we didn't screw up any of the songs," Robertson recalls. "That's a miracle!"

Nash dives into more treacherous territory during his conversation with Coolidge: "When the three of us [Crosby, Stills & Nash] met you that night, what did you think of the three of us?" he wonders. "I've been waiting to ask Rita this question for 45 years." Viewers won't learn Coolidge's answer until the full episode airs.

Speakeasy Season Two returns October 16th.  Cyndi Lauper, Frankie Valli and Ian Hunter are also slated to appear on the show.
