Watch Eddie Vedder Join Bruce Springsteen on 'Bobby Jean' news
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were joined onstage by Eddie Vedder to perform "Bobby Jean" at their Seattle concert Thursday

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s The River Tour rolled into Seattle’s Key Arena Thursday night, and to mark the occasion, Springsteen brought out a “hometown boy,” Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, during the encore to perform “Bobby Jean.” The two rockers split vocals on their powerful rendition of the Born on the U.S.A. track.

This isn’t the first time Vedder has joined Springsteen onstage, as the Pearl Jam singer could practically pop up at any E Street concert: At a 2004 Springsteen concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Vedder and Springsteen performed “No Surrender” and Pearl Jam’s “Better Man.” Vedder was also alongside Springsteen for “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “Atlantic City” and “My Hometown” at Chicago’s Wrigley Field in 2012, as well as AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” in Australia in 2014.

Vedder has frequently covered Springsteen live as well, playing tracks like “Drive All Night,” “Growin’ Up” and “My City of Ruins,” the latter of which the Pearl Jam singer performed during Springsteen’s Kennedy Center Honors ceremony in 2009.

Watch an alternate angle of Springsteen and Vedder’s “Bobby Jean” below. Springsteen’s The River Tour continues March 28th with a make-up gig at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
