Eddie Vedder made guest appearances during sets by Elvis Costello, Jack Irons and X during the inaugural Ohana Festival in Hawaii Saturday.

The inaugural Ohana Music Festival in Hawaii kicked off Saturday night with a headlining set by Eddie Vedder, but the Pearl Jam singer made his presence felt all over the fest. During Elvis Costello's set, Vedder popped out to lend his vocals to "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?"

As Stereogum reports, Vedder also made a cameo during X's set to perform "The New World" with the Los Angeles punk act before reemerging during Jack Irons' set for an intense cover of Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" with the former Pearl Jam drummer. (Irons returned the favor hours later to sit in on drums when Vedder played "Indifference" during his own headlining set.)

Vedder whipped out yet another Pink Floyd cover during his solo set, playing Dark Side of the Moon's "Brain Damage"; Pearl Jam's 2016 tour has also seen the band routinely playing "Comfortably Numb" and "Interstellar Overdrive" as the Ten group slowly morphs into the Machine.

During Vedder's set, the singer performed his "Out of Sand" live for the first time since he recorded the track it at Jack White's Third Man Records in June. Fellow Ohana performers X, Band of Horses and Vedder's longtime friend, surfer Kelly Slater, also joined the singer onstage during his set.
