Janet Jackson unleashed her signature moves in the stark black-and-white video for new track “Dammn Baby.”

In the video, Jackson and a cadre of dancers work through an intricate, sultry routine on an empty soundstage, their moves fractured by quick cuts and flashing lights. The aesthetic only changes during the “Dammn Baby” bridge, when Jackson grooves solo.

“Dammn Baby” appears on Jackson’s 2015 album Unbreakable, which was produced by longtime collaborators Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam. Rolling Stone got a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “Dammn Baby” video that was directed by Dave Meyers and choreographed by Gil Duldula.

“When she’s comfortable, she smiles and she giggles and she laughs at things, and at the same time hit that serious sexy stuff that she does,” Meyers said of Jackson. “That’s her essence, and when she’s in a comfortable environment, it just naturally comes out.”

Jackson recently postponed the remainder of her “Unbreakable” world tour until next year.
