Rachael Yamagata revels in the positive aftereffects of a breakup in the video for her new song, "Over." In a video for the upbeat and orchestrally ornamented song, which will appear on her upcoming LP Tightrope Walker, due September 23rd, the singer-songwriter burns a letter from her lover, basks in the sunlight of an open field, stands in front of a sheet as white paint is thrown on her and gleefully pounds away at a piano. In the end, she pulls her hands off the instrument's keys in relief. It's a visual statement of liberation.

"'Over' is that anthem of letting go and finally moving on with a wink and a healthy shrug of course," she tells Rolling Stone. "Laura Crosta shot and directed the video in Woodstock, NY. The paint did come out … eventually."

Earlier this year, Yamagata released a video for "Nobody," a sultry, more electronic-music-influenced song that will appear on Tightrope Walker, which will be her fourth studio full-length. The clip, which she co-directed, shows dancer Noelle Gallager spinning and crawling as Yamagata sings about crawling on her knees and declaring that "Nobody wants you the way I want you." She also released a making-of video that shows how the dancers in the video rehearsed for "Nobody," including a scene where they all held drumsticks, banging them against the floor and crossing them with each other like swords.

She will be embarking on the Tightrope Walker North American Tour next month, shortly before she puts out the LP. It kicks off in Nashville on September 19th and wraps in Los Angeles on October 26th, with stops in Canada and all across the U.S.
